When you're shopping, if you have time, try to do comparisons between Jerry's and ASWexpress.com, a discount arm of Jerry's. They usually arrange it so ASW's prices don't compete with any sale Jerry's is having, but the prices there are pretty cheap. To my surprise, Dick Blick often beats both of them on many things.Worth checking out if you have time.

I have found that Blick's selection is greater and the site is easier to navigate. However the comparative price is usually (at least for the things I buy) higher than Jerry's.

Also, if you're in MA, you'll get hit with the sales tax, since they have a store in the Fenway.

I buy a lot of printmaking paper, so I always check the prices between Jerry's and ASW. Either one has consistently come in well-below any other online retailer that I can find.

i find that Jerry's Art-a-rama in Providence gives 10% discounts to members of many organizations. i get mine for Portsmouth Arts Guild membership. i like to buy my pastels and pencils directly in the store.
