About Me:
I have been involved with photography and art for many years. I had concentrated on nautical and outdoor themes for a long time, but a few years ago I discovered the miracle of digital photography, and soon became entranced with photographing flowers. From that, I began incorporating enhancement in my work , and since then I have been able to obtain some very creative and pleasing effects that render my "subjects" in a more artistic and painterly way. As the former owner of Thames Gallery in Newport, RI, it is essential to my spirit and being that I be surrounded with color and form, and this is my way of fulfilling this desire.

Perspective

"Photography, as we all know it, is not real at all. It is an illusion of reality with which we create our own private world" ~ Arnold Newman.

Bit of a downer.

This rain has left me lamenting the fact that my favorite Peonies are already waterlogged and not worth photographing this year. I am so disappointed that I will have to wait again for next year unless I purchase some at the local flower shop.

My art blog

I have recently added a few items showing a sampling of things I am working on. Needless to say, I am doing a variety of things, working to add to inventory for the Etsy shop soon to go on line, and join with my daughter in contributing to her new shop too. The charms will be going in daughters site, my note cards, fine art/photo prints, tiles, postcards, canvas totes, and journals will be going into my new place. Check out my art blog at ~

Thanks for the comment on "Sunflowers and Poppies' ... Your work is super stuff! I like your eye for balance and color contrasts. My little painting....and I had to go look for it! thought it was at the gallery.........but it is here....
image 5x7/ framed in arts/crafts gold to make it 10x12..... just meant to be a little statement of "cheer." I generally don't do florals....it's maybe one of FOUR in a lifetime!!!!

Bermuda is one of those places you just never want to come back from. The early morning walks as the island was waking up were the best....David

Thanks for your comments.
Your work is beautiful. I especially like the liquidy, painterly, dreamlike quality. They really capture the fragility of the flowers. They're photographs?
what size are they?

I am not sure how to use this website, but here goes.

More people need to be soothed and delighted by your work !
