About Me:
I'm fifty something years old and two years ago I decided it was time to walk away from a career in retail and devote myself to making art. My decision to do this was sparked by the realization that an ancestor of mine was one of the finest American engravers during the nineteenth century.

I've painted portraits, landscapes, and I've been commissioned for a few murals. Lately I have been concentrating of a series of still-lifes and trompe l'oeil paintings. I built a studio attached to my home in 2008 and I'm excited to get back into painting and printmaking.

The National Museum of American Illustration

I've been meaning to visit the National Museum of American Illustration in Newport ever since it opened in1998, but I kept baulking at the rather steep $25 admission fee. They recently dropped the price to $18, which is quite a bit more reasonable.
