Hi Frannie!

No worries about the photos you took of Bob. You did such a great job of them. :-D

I love my elies. That little dust devil one didn't last long. The wife of one of Bob's big collectors bought it. :-D I have more to paint, including pandas and puffins, but have been writing a lot lately instead. I'm a sucker for the baby elephant kids picture books about Humphrey - they are beautifully drawn. :-D

Cheers,
Marianne

Marianne!!! Hi lovey! It's wonderful to see you here as well. Thank you for the continuous publicity and the compliments ... it means the world to me.

BTW - I LOVED image 25 ... the elephant. Elephants are my favourite animal. They are such beautiful creatures and you captured that beautifully in your artwork.

Wow, I am going to spend some time looking through your site. Looks wonderful! Thank you... Sorry about the migrane, but the list looks great. Thanks for the tips. My fear about oils, I guess, was always that they were messy and hard to work with. I'm sure that's not the case, otherwise why would they be used so much? I guess I was just afraid of them. I think I'll pick up these items this weekend, and start playing. Thanks again!

Hi there! Tried to find your blog, but I couldn't seem to find it... I'd love to read it, though.

Thank you for the offer to discuss oils. I guess my first question would be: If I was putting together a basic kit to begin oil painting, what should I include? If anyone else has any other tips, I'd like to hear, also. I wonder if perhaps we should put something in the discussion section? I'm kinda new to this type of networking site...

Thank you, Marianne. Do you work solely in oil? How do you find working with them? I'm so used to acrylics, but I'm dying to try oils.
